Glorious Glamping at Fairmead Farm

FAQs

Glorious Glamping is a pop-up glamping site at Fairmead Farm, which is close to the village of Pool in Wharfedale on the outskirts of Leeds, in the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside. Please use the pin below when navigating to the site. The entrance is on a bend so please do take it nice and slowly when approaching – you’ll see the Glorious Glamping sign at the end of the drive. Then drive up through Fairmead Farm until you enter a field where you’ll see the bell tents and the barn area, and park on the left.

Yes, we certainly can! If you’re celebrating a big birthday, hen party, or just fancy a Glastonbury themed micro-festival, we can provide bespoke decorations packages including bunting, flags, balloons, party decorations and our Giant Letters. More information can be found here:

Yes, the 3 areas are in the same field so all have easy access to the showers, toilets and barn areas, but with sufficient space in between for outdoor activities, games, BBQs, sunbathing etc.

Sheets, pillows, blankets and towels are provided, but it does get cold at night so please bring your own duvet or sleeping bag. With COVID we’re washing everything thoroughly every week and we just can’t get through that many duvets.

  • A torch or lantern – there is no lighting in the tent areas so a lantern is useful for the tent – and for night-time trips to the toilet
  • A warm jacket for the evening is a good idea on cooler weekends
  • Comfy shoes – the site is not suitable for heels
  • Toiletries – shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toothpaste etc (but ask the staff for a complimentary bottle if you happen to forget)
  • A water bottle – there is a tap for drinking water inside the GG Bar
100% – Glorious Glamping is suitable for groups of all ages – last year we hosted a diamond wedding anniversary where the ages of guests ranged from 18 months to 86 years! We love having family group on site, and it’s a really fun space for kids – with a fancy dress box, loads of toys and games, and acres of space to run around and have fun.

Dogs are very welcome on site, we have water bowls and a secret stash of dog treats behind the bar! Please keep them on a lead if they like to chase sheep.

No, but the local village of Pool in Wharfedale has a small village shop for essential items, for a larger shop Asda Otley is a 5 minute drive from the site.

In one barn you can find the GG Bar underneath the giant disco ball and bunting. Serving a great range of soft and alcoholic drinks, cocktails, mocktails and shots, the GG Bar will be open to serve drinks to all guests from 2pm – 11pm Friday and Saturday.

Next door is The Party Barn which can be reserved per night, for groups who want their own exclusive indoor space during the weekend. Guests are welcome to bring their own drinks into the Party Barn if they have hired it for the evening. Of course you are also very welcome to pop next door to purchase drinks and cocktails from the GG Bar – pre-purchased drinks packages are also available including Gin bar and Prosecco bar options, which can be laid out for you in the Party Barn. The Party Barn will close at 11pm each evening

Music is played inside the barn areas, the bar staff will take any song recommendations, or you can send us a Spotify playlist in advance and we’ll include it in the weekend’s playlist. Music will be turned off at 11pm, after which time guests are asked to keep noise levels to a minimum so as not to disturb our neighbours.
Small karaoke machines can be brought onto site – we’ve had a few really fun karaoke nights with our guests all singing along together! We have ultimate control over the volume. We do not allow decks or soundsystems to be brought in – Glorious Glamping is an environment suitable for all kinds of special occasions including family events, birthday parties, wedding anniversaries and hen parties – any entertainment brought in must be suitable for all.
