COVID-19 Guidelines

COVID-19 remains a part of our lives and we are proceeding with utmost caution with the safety of our guests paramount in our considerations. Please remember “Hands, Face, Space” – wash hands regularly, use the hand sanitiser provided on site, cough or sneeze into your elbow, and maintain a safe distance from other people in line with current government guidelines.

Glorious Glamping will keep up to date with government advice and implement the required safety and social distancing measures.

Site Rules

Glorious Glamping is set at Fairmead Farm, close to Leeds Bradford Airport. The countryside location provides plenty of space for fun – and we are a fun campsite, a happy place where people can come together to celebrate special events and be sociable – if you’re looking for peace and quiet this is not the campsite for you. But we do have neighbours, all guests are asked to be respectful with noise levels. Amplified music in the barn will be turned off at 22:30, after this time we ask that you keep your voices down as much as possible.

Fires are allowed on site in designated areas outside of your tents. Firework displays and the use of Chinese lanterns is not allowed as these pose a risk to wildlife. As we are close to the airport the use of laser beams of any kind is not allowed on site.

Please inform us during your stay of any accidental damage.

For any booking made by staff on your behalf on the booking system, or any other way, that you have requested or agreed (and in coming to the camp it is deemed you had requested or agreed) it is deemed that in so doing and coming to the camp, you accept the terms and conditions.

Any aggressive or violent behaviour towards Glorious Glamping staff or its customers will result in you being asked to leave the site immediately. If this behaviour continues, relevant authorities will be involved.

Arrival and Departure Times

Arrival time is after 1pm on a Friday. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival and we’ll be ready to welcome you onto site. In the event we are called away to another area of the site by an emergency, all guests will be provided by email with a map of the site showing you how to find your tent and the facilities. In this event we will make every effort to greet you asap.

Guests are requested to vacate their tents by 1pm on the Sunday of their weekend stay.

Your visit to the site and grounds

Guests agree to be considerate tenants and to take good care of the tents and facilities during their stay. Guests agree not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to other guests. Well behaved dogs are allowed at the site, there are sheep in a nearby field – if you dog likes chasing sheep please keep it on a lead. Should any facilities, equipment, or inventory, be damaged as a result of inappropriate usage or behaviour, or a as a direct result of failing to respond to instructions from staff you will be held responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of that item. Glorious Glamping cannot accept responsibility from any loss, damage, or expense arising from industrial action, terrorist activity, adverse weather conditions or any other event outside the control of the company.

Fairmead Farm does contain some natural hazards, such as tree roots, poisonous plants, and extremely limited lighting after dark, and depending upon weather conditions, cold, wet and slippery surfaces. Throughout the year, your tent, although cosy and dry, may also become home for the short term to some of our other residents such as insects, spiders, frogs, mice etc. Please remember they were here first and be kind to them.

Glamping in Britain can mean unpredictable weather. Whilst we supply certain facilities and equipment, it is still camping and you are responsible for your own well being and comfort regarding appropriate clothing and footwear etc. Be aware the tents are cotton canvas and in prolonged and heavy rain the tents may leak. Glorious Glamping cannot be held responsible for poor weather conditions during your stay.

If you have any questions about your stay and require more information prior to arrival than is published on the website, please do not hesitate to contact us by using the contact form.

Some of the farm buildings may contain tractors or machinery – these barns will clearly be labelled as no entry, please respect these signs and do not allow children to stray into these buildings.

Glorious Glamping accepts no responsibility from any loss or injury arising from being on the site. By booking, and acknowledging these Terms and Conditions, you are aware of the risks, hazards, and dangers of personal injury in entering the site.

The Glorious Glamping Bar

We will have a bar set up in a converted horsebox this year, where guests may purchase drinks. For shelter, we have a big, open barn on site, which is well ventilated and therefore COVID-compliant. This facility will allow groups to come together for drinks, dancing or group activities. The sale of alcohol will be covered by Temporary Events Notices, for a maximum of 10 weekends over the summer in line with alcohol licensing guidelines. A member of the Glorious Glamping team who has a personal alcohol license will be on site during all times when the bar is open. The licensing objectives will be upheld at all times. These are:

• The prevention of crime and disorder
• Public safety
• The prevention of public nuisance
• The protection of children from harm

Smoking

Smoking is permitted on site in outdoor areas, please use the ashtrays provided for cigarette butts. We have a strict no smoking policy inside the bell tents – failure to adhere will result in a bell tent cleaning bill of £150.

Drug use

We have zero tolerance approach to drug use on site.

The Quarry

There is a quarry on one side of the site – this is a public right of way, but there is not safe access from Fairmead Farm to the quarry, as such guests are requested not to enter the quarry area from the Farm. Gathering of firewood from the quarry is strictly prohibited – bags of logs for the firepits are available for sale at the Glorious Glamping bar.
